Where AI actually pays off (and where it quietly does not)
Every business is being told to adopt AI. Far fewer are being told where it will actually pay off. The result is a lot of pilots that impress in a demo and never make it into daily work.
The companies that get real value from AI are not the ones chasing the newest model. They are the ones who picked the right problem to point it at.
Start with the workflow, not the technology
The best AI opportunities are usually hiding in plain sight: a repetitive, time-consuming workflow that pulls skilled people away from higher-value work. Find those, and you have found where AI earns its keep.
If you cannot describe the problem and the time it costs you in a sentence, it is probably not the place to start.
Build for production, not for the demo
A demo proves something is possible. Production proves it is useful. The gap between the two is where most AI projects quietly die — integration, data quality, governance, and getting the team to actually trust and use the thing.
Design for that gap from day one. Build around the tools your team already uses, set clear guardrails on data and access, and measure adoption, not novelty.
